Home and Community Based Services

Our consultation brings with it all of our experience working with diverse populations in a variety of settings while collaborating across fields of practice. We use current evidence-based strategies and interventions from applied behavior analysis (ABA) that embrace trauma informed care and assent based teaching. To define our “style” of consult, we look to trailblazers that prioritize the social and emotional needs of our learners so they can lead the most fulfilling lives possible. We want those we serve to eagerly gain new skills and learn new behaviors that may replace any behaviors that interfere with their happiness and goals for themselves. We also want families and caregivers to confidently teach and guide our shared learners until those goals are met. Above all else, we have learned so much along our journey that we would like the opportunity to share our knowledge and expertise with those that have an impact on today’s learners.

These services are accessed through insurance from aged 1-21.

Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI)

For learners up to 6 years old

Focus on early intervention, skill building and the prevention of unsafe behaviors for young children that struggle with language development, independent play, social interactions, self-care skills, early literacy/numeracy skills and self-regulation.

We strive to serve learners and their families in the settings that matter most. This means that consultation and direct service occurs with families and caregivers in the home and frequented community places. The frequency and duration of services is determined after initial skill assessment.

Our treatment package can include:

    • Direct program development and implementation

    • Parent/caregiver training

    • Collaboration with birth to three, day cares, schools and healthcare providers.

These programs are typically funded through health insurance and in some cases privately funded by families.

School-Age Behavioral Support and Skill Development

For learners between 7-14 years old

Focus on addressing skill deficits and environmental contingencies that have contributed to the development of challenging behavior. Skill areas addressed include academics, social skills, leisure skills, language development, self-perception and self-regulation.

Our consultation will focus on all variables that effect a learner’s behavior within their home and community. We will assess and design programming for what skills are needed and/or what environmental variables need to modified to replace any challenging ones.

Our treatment package can include:

  • Direct program development and implementation

  • Parent/caregiver training

  • Collaboration with medical providers and school teams.

Some states authorize insurance funding for consultation and programming in this age group. Other states have access to funding through waivers. Some families choose to privately fund this consultation on their own.

Transition to Employment and Independent Living

For learners age 15+

Focus on the development of skills needed for fulfilling employment, leisure activities and independent living. For those that struggle with being safe, consultation/programming will also focus on strategies to increase quality of life through mitigation strategies and environmental variable management.

Our consultation will focus on individualized components that will result in the maximum level possible for lifelong independence and safety. We will also strive to develop sustainable self-monitoring programming that can foster sustained independence.

Our treatment package can include:

  • Direct program development and implementation

  • Parent/caregiver training

  • Collaboration with medical providers, school teams, human service agencies and vocational programs.

While some states may authorize insurance funding in this age group, funding will likely be privately funded by families or state waivers.
